Best Shot Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026 · Effective: October 5, 2026 · English version of the Chinese original

Best Shot (the "app") is a photo culling assistant that runs entirely on your device. It groups similar shots (for example a burst) and ranks them so you can quickly decide which ones to keep. The app has no server and no accounts, and your photos never leave your device. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

1. We do not collect or upload your data

The app has no server, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party SDKs. Your photos stay in your device's photo library; the app never uploads, shares or repurposes them. All analysis (similarity, sharpness, face quality, aesthetics and so on) is performed on your device.

2. Which photos we read, and what we do with them

3. What is stored on your device

4. System permissions we use

The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or any other permission.

5. In-app purchase (the only network activity)

When you buy the one-time unlock or use "Restore Purchases", your device communicates with Apple's servers. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; the app never sees your payment details. Apart from that, the app performs no network communication.

If a photo you want to share exists only in iCloud and has no local copy, the app will not download it (to stay fully offline). It tells you to download the originals in the Photos app first.

6. Data sharing and third parties

The app does not share your data with anyone and bundles no third-party SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple's App Store in-app purchase service, and payment data is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.

7. Children's privacy

The app collects no personal information and does not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
